Job Title: Deputy Director, Physical Planning

Qualification and Experience
The right Candidate for the job must possess:

• At least a good Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Quantity Surveying not below second class honours lower division from a recognized institution;
• Evidence of registration with the relevant professional bodies.
• Ability to perform within the University System;
• At least 16 years post-qualification cognate experience as an Engineer or Quantity Surveyor or 13 years as an Architect in a reputable organization;
• Comprehensive understanding of the roles of his/her department with the overall functioning of the University system;
• Capability to achieve optimal results with available resources even under adverse conditions;
• Demonstrable competence in providing professional and advisory services to the University administration;
• Positive personal qualities such as initiative, integrity, foresight, dynamism, balanced temperament and harmonious relationship within and outside the University.
• A good and practical knowledge of computer applications.

Conditions of Service

• The conditions attached to the position are as generally applicable in the Nigerian University System and in the Public Service of Nigeria and as may, from time to time, be determined by the University Governing Council.
• The appointment shall be on such terms and conditions as may be specified on his letter of appointment.

The Right Candidate

• The right candidate for this position must have verifiable track record of competence, responsiveness, demonstrable integrity and transparency, ability to work in a team and be able to function with minimum supervision. In addition, the preferred candidates must possess excellent communication skills, and be in good health to be able to sustain the demands of the office.

Salary
CONTISS 14 N1,831,708.00 - N2,392,572.00 Per Annum
