Megalectrics Limited - We are a reputable and wholly owned indigenous broadcast company with headquarters in Lagos (Operators of The Beat, Naija and Classic FM Radio group).

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Traffic Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Responsibilities

The Traffic personnel is responsible to the Sales director.
This individual will have specific duties dealing with advertisements, commercials, public service announcements (PSAs), or programming.
Responsible for typing the daily radio schedule which contains all the radio commercials and public service spot announcements.
Continuous and regular update of the traffic log on the software.
The Traffic Personnel is responsible for reviewing radio time sales orders and verifying the completeness of the data required for the log. This must be done for all forms of advertising. Collating necessary information from all parties involved for all commercials.
Keep daily record of all orders received from the marketing team.
Monitor records of the advertisements to ensure that commercials are ran when as scheduled, review the daily log sheets for authorized changes made during the broadcast day.
Ensure that advertisements comply with NBC rules and regulations in terms of materials and timing. Also, responsible for keeping the daily commercial log up to NBC standards. Coordinate all compliance issues received from agencies and clients.
Monitor on-air personalities to ensure correct delivery of hypes, commercials, PSA’s etc.
He or She is to make sure that enough PSA’s are aired at no fee for non-profit groups or community service agencies.
He or She works with the stations General Manager, Sales Director and possibly the station owner creating a sequence for the running of commercials.
He or She should understand the station, its programming and its advertisers to be successful in this job.
Constantly liaise with the programming department for clock creation.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic and passionate individual, who has passion for radio.
Candidates must possess a minimum of university degree with at least 2 years relevant experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Must have technology skills
Good communication and people skills.
Proficient in the use of MS. Excel, Word, and PowerPoints.
Discretion with confidential information.
Team-working, team-bonding ability.
Ability to work under pressure.
