Learn Africa Plc is a learning resource business with a history spanning over 50 years. The company was established in 1961 as Longman Nigeria - a book publishing firm wholly owned by Longman Group UK Limited, now Pearson Education.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Publisher/Editor (Humanities)

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be required to:

• Take responsibility for a wide range of processes culminating in the publishing of assigned titles for all educational levels.
• Coordinate a team comprising other professionals, such as authors, reviewers, freelance editors, compositors, book designers and illustrators.
• Work in a serene environment with a keen eye for detail.
• Manage many publishing projects at the same time.

Qualification and Experience
The candidates, who must not be older than 35 years, will be require to possess the following:

• Minimum of a good first degree in English language or a combined honours degree in English language and Yoruba.
• Minimum of three years experience in a similar position in a reputable publishing organisation. Teaching in a reputable school will also be considered a relevant experience.
• Good oral and written English with excellent communication skills.
• Computer literacy with good working knowledge of presentation packages.
