Quo Magnis Limited - Our Client - a highly reputable organisation - is seeking a suitable candidate to fulfill the following:

Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO)

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all matters relating to security of company locations and assets
Ensure effective coordination of all retained security companies or operatives including guards, MOPOL and security dogs
Develop and implement codified security training manual and structure which would also include fire/safety drills, parade drills, access control procedures, client communication protocols, unarmed security processes and self-defense drills.
Ensuring all SECURITY PERSONNEL are operating at optimum level of security alertness and readiness.
Provide a tight structure that addresses all security risks and threats and provides adequate training to all security personnel to be able to promptly handle even unforeseen emergencies.

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is required
A minimum requirement of 8 years industrial security experience or 10 years armed forces experience
Experience should include a well-rounded background and knowledge of managing all levels of security operatives, a hands on approach as well as the proven ability / track record of building systems and structures and successfully implementing such

Competencies and Requirements:

Good knowledge of security operations
A versatile experience across multiple sectors / industries will be preferred.
Strong Leadership and Relationship Management skills
Able to manage staff, clients / end users, security operatives such as MOPOL, security dogs and others as applicable.
Strong Problem solving skills
Able to handle emergencies, highly tenacious, able to identify and “kill potential fires” before it erupts.
Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate effectively
Providing appropriate manuals and process charts and communicating this to staff in ways that is easy to understand. Providing hands on coordination of all activities.
