Director of Research (Medical Biology) at Nigerian Institute of Medical Research

The Nigerian Institute of Medical Research Yaba-Lagos, a Parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Health hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following Senior Research and Administrative Positions.

Job Title: Director of Research (Medical Microbiology)

Qualification and Experience

• The candidate must possess a Ph.D in Medical Microbiology or an MBBS degree plus a registrable Post-Graduate Fellowship of the National or West African Post-Graduate Medical Colleges or its equivalent in Parasitology.
• The candidate must have put in not less than four years as a Deputy-Director Research or its equivalent with Research/Academic Establishment. An MPH degree is an added advantage.
• There should be evidence of continued productivity and distinguished contribution to knowledge through research with at least thirty (30) publications in peer reviewed journals.
• Evidence of Administrative experience, competencies in computer application and ability /evidence ofwinning research grants ability will also be an added advantage.

Salary
CONMESS 07 STEP 1/CONHESS 15 STEP 1(N 4,233,344.00 x N 113,207.00) per annum.
