The Hospital established 32 years ago is one of the second generation Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria with 620 beds capacity for tn-patients It offers diverse and specialized services in various aspects of healthcare, training and research.

Job Title: Chief Medical Director

Job Description
The Chief Medical Director is charged with the responsibility for the execution of the policies, and matters affecting the day-to-day management of the affairs of the Hospital. He is also the Chief Accounting officer of the Hospital subject to the general control of the Management Board and the Hon. Minister of Health.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates aspiring to the position should be dynamic and visionary. In addition, candidates must:

• Be medically qualified and registered as such, for a period of not less than twelve (12) years.
• Possess a post-graduate medical qualification obtained at least five (5) years prior to the date of this advertisement.
• Have considerable administrative experience in matters of health.

Conditions of Service
The condition of service is similar to what obtains in Teaching Hospitals/Public service of Nigeria.

Remuneration
The salary is consolidated and the appointee shall enjoy the benefits of the office as applicable to Chief Executives of Federal Parastatals, and as may be reviewed/approved from time to time by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

Tenure of Office
The appointment is for a term of four (4) years in the first instance, and may be renewed, subject to satisfactory performance and discretion of the Federal Government for another term of four (4) years.
