Role Summary/Purpose:
The Program Manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of healthcare programs in support of the new models designed throughout SSA. He/She will also work with high level external clients, government program leaders GEHC & GGO employees to plan & execute programs in support of the maternal and newborn health focus. He/She drives clarity by defining & prioritizing the program objectives, metrics, critical success factors & deliverables for the team, as well as developing a common
Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, inclusive partnership with the GEHC commercial team to share best practices, and details on how to leverage outcomes for incremental growth will be key for success, as well as supporting the healthcare product leaders in new product development for Africa. In this role, the Program Manager will support healthcare program activities for projects undertaken by the GGO team building on the company’s healthymagination platform with a focus on innovation, training and implementation.
This role will be based in the GE Nigeria office and support projects launched throughout SSA.
- Facilitating and coordinating, as well as tracking, of day-to- day activities required to ensure projects are completed on time, successfully, and in a manner consistent with organizational goals, departmental policies, and/or the standard terms and conditions of the contract
- Writing project plans for assigned projects, which include clear milestones and assignment of project task responsibilities
- Providing leadership and direction for clients and GE personnel responsible for the project
- Adopting a proactive approach to identify risks to project success and create and maintain a project risk log; develop effective action plans for resolution as early as possible
- Report on project metrics both across the organization and to senior leadership
- Promote active collaboration for a One GE approach among GGO, GEHC and all stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience in project management and program development
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Proven leadership and effective decision-making capabilities
- Negotiation skills and healthcare product sales experience
- Proven project management experience in complex environments
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University
- Ability to monitor and manage critical path elements of consolidated projects
- Ability to manage all aspects of customer service, customer satisfaction, and contractual commitments
- Ability to make formal presentations (internal and external)
- Experience managing revenue generating projects
