Spencer Ogden is working with a leading company who plan, construct and operate profitable solar plants worldwide. They are looking for an experienced candidate to join their team, to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: Solar Technical Project Manager / Site Manager

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in an exciting and challenging industry and will have had previous experience working in this region as well as experience in implementing micro grid or hybrid solutions.

Qualifications

Electrical Engineering Degree or Electrical Engineering Training as an electric installer, foreman, technician or electrician
Extensive project management experience in the PV field
Good knowledge of CAD (Autocad, Civil3D)
Good knowledge of MS Office applications
Good knowledge of PV-SYST and electrical design software (Caddy, E-Plan or similar software)

Requirements:

Fluent in spoken and written English (German is a plus)
Excellent team work and communication skills
Proactive and independent - ability to take individual responsibility for work
Must be willing to travel / long-term stays, particularly in Nigeria

Core competencies:

Project management for the entire process - from initial planning up to construction, commissioning, and handover
Preparation of the technical system design, part lists and system documentation
Independent selection of equipment, suppliers and subcontractors, including the tendering of scope of works
Cooperation, negotiation, and joint problem solving with local and international suppliers, clients and partners
Implementation of requirements
Working on tenders and development of technical project presentations
Site inspection and evaluation of ground mount, rooftop and carport projects
On-site coordination, management and reporting
Monitoring the completion of the PV projects until commissioning
Workforce management.

Remuneration
