Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading multinational oilfield servicing company to recruit a QA/QC Inspector for its operations in Nigeria

Job Title: QA/QC Inspector

Location: Port-Harcourt, Nigeria.

Job description
The QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for reading mechanical drawings and to have a working knowledge on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and to be able to apply this knowledge to measurement of equipment/parts. He will also be involved in ensuring processes & equipments are up to standard & meet necessary requirements.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
 

• Facilitate processes, improvement and monitoring make-up sub-assemblies, testing and load-outs
• Familiar with Measuring Equipment
• Perform reception Inspection on incoming goods based on company standards and QCP.
• Review company/Vendor’s drawing from manufacturing and follow-up with all non-conforming issues
• Perform inspection and follow instructions
• Instruct others on how to use all measuring equipment and work unsupervised
• Being able to interact with third party inspectors
• Observe safety regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practice and correct obvious hazards immediately or report them to supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• HND/B.Sc in any science/mathematic/engineering related course
• At least 5 years in a similar role in the oil & gas sector
• Must have good practical working experience with bottom hole tools
• Knowledge of documentation and understanding of the ISO requirement. Worked or involve with ISO QMS or any other international standard certification.
• General knowledge on calibration process & knowledge on threads.
• Knowledge on non-destructive testing and ISO/ASNT certified (advantage)
• Knowledge of DS-1 standard/API-5CT
• Team oriented and outgoing
