Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by an indigenous exploration and production company to recruit a Senior Drilling Completions Engineer.

Job description

• The Senior Drilling Completions Engineer will set up and manage the rig and all support services contracts for efficient execution of the company’s oiland gas drilling and completion programs and also manage the company’s drilling and completion campaign fromplanning through to execution. He/She would also Coordinate the Supply Chain process of Well Engineering equipment for cost effective project delivery.
• The Senior Drilling Completions Engineerwill report to the Senior Drilling Completions Manager.
• The position is based in Lagos.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate service contractors to ensure that high quality service are provided in accordance with their respective contracts
• Set up and manage the rig contract to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Develop and manage the process for technical challenge andevaluation of well concepts and models.
• Verify that assigned wells have gone through the required Quality Assurance process before commencement of drilling operations.
• Deliver planned number of wells on budget, on schedule and tothe quality standards specified in the well proposal
• Manage the interface with Subsurface and Operations Teams.
• Liaises with the Community Relation Officers to work outstrategies with the host communities to minimize disruption in Well drilling and completion operations.
• Manage the process of obtaining DPR approvals and other governmental permitting requirements
• Manage the progress of work on well drilling and completion activities assigned to his team.
• Demonstrate a high commitment to HSE

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a degree in Engineering/Physical Sciences. MBA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years experience on a similar role,10 years of which must be in well technology, planning, design and construction.
• Possess professional drilling certificates(e.g Shell R1& R2 or equivalent)
• Knowledge of Subsurface Engineering.
• Strong commercial skills, with deep knowledge of contracting process and strategic cost.
