Group Chief Finance Officer at a Management Company

A management company set up to provide technical and strategic support for a group of Insurance companies both in Nigeria and offshore. As part of our growth strategy and to further strengthen our Human capital development, we are in need of a competent, result oriented person to join our team.

Job Title: Group Chief Finance Officer
Reports to: Group Managing Director
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Purpose:
To provide leadership and co-ordination for Group Global day-to-day Finance and investment Functions including revenue growth; expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management for all the locations the group
To formulate global strategy on areas of core responsibilities.

Dimensions:
Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic with capability to use initiative and intellectual capital to derive solutions

Key Responsibility
Team management, tax planning negotiation with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with local laws Assist individual locations in account setup, preparation of statutory account and investment management

Qualification

• Good first degree with a professional qualification in accountancy
• Post graduate degree would be an added advantage

Experience

• Candidate must have worked in top management position for not less than 10 years in any of the following sectors: financial institution, an accounting/consulting firm, a multinational firm, or an international organization with foreign exposure.

Special Skills

• The candidate must possess ability to negotiate financial deals, liaise with regulatory body in ensuring compliance and be able to motivate staff.
