A reputable Financial Services Company, is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates, to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Business Development

Location: Any City, Nigeria
Directly Supervises: Other Staff in Marketing/Business Development

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Compliance with company Risk Management Framework
Lead,generate and win credit and lease mandates
Call, visit prospects; update market survey, keep abreast of market activity on daily/weekly/monthly/yearly basis.
Complete daily marketing activity reports
Demonstrate commitment to deliver outstanding customer service
Develop credit and lease products
Send timely, reliable and accurate statements, reports to customers, provide feedbacks to customers on transactions status, cheques, invoices
Initiates, prepares CAM, review documents & checklist for credit and lease transactions
Ensure credit and lease applications are processed timely based
Conduct financial analysis in accordance with required accounting principles
Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures and standards
Monitor credit and lease rental payment, penalties etc
Coordinate daily marketing of products across clients on basis of target set
Structure ease agreements in line with organizational guidelines and ensure performance
Underwrite profitable transactions bearing the risk management frameworks in place
Generate new product lines to appeal to the needs of clients
Monitor loans and ensure efficient recovery of assets in case of default
Analyse credits with the aim of identifying the Key risk indicators and advise appropriately
Involved in preparation of budget and business plan for the financial period and participate in Quarterly reviews

Key Performance Indicators:

Generation of quality risk assets, broad customer base, achievement of target

Person Specifications

Must possess a good First Degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy or any related field. An additional Masters degree in Finance or MBA is desirable but not required
Must have at least 5 years post - graduation work experience within a financial environment.
Should possess analytical and accounting skills and good understanding of the regulatory framework for Finance company
Possession of interpersonal skills with demonstrable use of IT application in business and finance
Strong communication and sales skills, Team player.
Knowledgeable of current market condition.
Sound judgment and reasoning skills in resolving customer issues
