Job Title: Head, Risk Management Executive

Location: Any City, Nigeria

Duties

• Develop risk management framework and monitor risk maturity
• Develop, enhance and maintain the company’s enterprise risk management processes for effective business operations
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders within the company in order to understand their business objectives and the distinct risks to achieving these objectives
• Stay abreast of internal and external developments that may impact the Group’s risk profile and make internal changes as appropriate
• Plan and facilitate risk workshops to help the business identify its principal risks
• Produce high quality Executive and Board level risk reports
• Assist with assessment of the Group’s principal risks, and other risk related content for the Group’s Annual Report and Accounts
• Provide advice on how to ensure risks are properly identified and evaluated and appropriate controls built in
• Periodic assessment of adherence to risk management procedures Establishing and quantifying the organisation’s frisk appetite’, i.e. the level of risk we are prepared to accept
• Corporate governance involving external risk reporting to stakeholders
• Carrying out processes to limit risks and prepare for if things go wrong
• Conducting audits of policy and compliance to standards, including liaison with internal and external auditors.

Qualifications

• A first degree in humanities or social sciences or a related field.
• A Master’s Degree will be an advantage.

Professional Membership

• An insurance professional certification will be preferable.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years extensive experience in Risk Management and 3 years in Senior Management role
• A broad background in risk and Insurance
• Self-starter, motivated, enthusiastic and has excellent collaboration skills
• Diverse risk management experience in Insurance or Financial services.
