Job Title: Senior Legal Officer

Location: Any City, Nigeria

Duties and Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the legal services, advising on all contractual agreements and handling of all cases filed by or against the Company.

Requirements
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in Law from a recognized university and must have been called to the Nigerian Bar. A post graduate degree in Law is required for this position.
• The candidates must have proven records of success in legal practice and must be well versed in general legal advisory work, litigation alternative dispute resolution, due diligence and writing of legal opinion.
• The candidate must have a strong bias in oil & gas transactions.
• A minimum of 15 years post call to Bar experience in active legal practice is required tar this position.
• He should have sound understanding of varied commercial and franchise contracts and ability to make necessary recommendations to ensure that contracts are aligned in the best interest of the company.
• Sound understanding of regulatory requirements in the oil and gas industry (downstream sector) will be an added advantage.
• Not more than 45 years of age.
