Job Position: Open Source Analyst (m/f)

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Description

• You are responsible for the continuous monitoring of open sources. The area of reporting covers the writing of news, ad-hoc messages and alerts as well as the support of our research department concerning the latest topics.
• You will compile travel and security related reports in English language with a focus on a resilient incident analysis based on local expertise and your distinct analytic skills.
• Furthermore, you will provide clients with in-depth information on situational developments across Nigeria on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have successfully completed your first degree. Masters degree will be an advantage.
• Must be sociable and have distinct social skills.
• Must be aware of information security and the correct handling of sensitive data.
• Must have a very good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of additional language is an added advantage.
• When talking on the phone, your voice must be clear and precise.

Background

• You have experience in research,
• Monitoring and the analysis of situations caused by politics, society or by natural disasters.
• You must have the ability to think strategically, act pragmatically and work efficiently in stress situations.
• You must have an excellent organizational skills that allow you to coordinate situation-adequate measures and actions with different people on a professional basis.
• Furthermore, you already possess an understanding for the situation in crisis regions and have obtained international experience.
• You have the appropriate career background.
