We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Dispatch Rider

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Dispatch rider who is able to help company’s achieve what seems impossible,someone is known for always keeping his promises, consistently delivering on time and having a customer focused approach to work.
• As a true professional he is able to add value to everything that he does, and has extensive knowledge of the systems and techniques needed to manage service functions.
• Process development and creating a workplace environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Transport and receive/deliver items quickly by motorcycle (Items can include packages/documents).
• Record and maintain all dispatch documents (such as dispatch log book records and consignment notes).
• Sign for packages on collection from client/mail-room and get an appropriate person to sign for it upon delivery.
• Ensure motorcycle is roadworthy and abide by the required rules for riding motorcycle.
• The rider will be responsible for educating customers on specified products of the company.
• Verification of addresses for bank clients.
• Transport and receive items quickly using motorcycle.Items can include packages, letter, legal documents messages
• Keeping motorcycle in a roadworthy shape.
• Dispatch rider will be responsible for educating customers on specified products of the company.
• Perform all ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements, Education & Skills

• Possess valid riders permit.
• Good driving record and familiar with Lagos and Ogun State route.
• Preference for applicant staying in Ogudu/Ojota axis and environs.
• Must enjoy motorcycling and be a skilled rider.
• Must be physically fit, able to read and write.
• Highly professional and able to work independently.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and work under pressure.
• Polite and able to get along with people.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills for delivery and expenses records.
• Have the ability to read and follow guides, plan and learn route.
• A minimum of a Senior High School Certificate
• Preference for applicant staying in Lagos
• Must be a skilled rider
• Must be familiar with Lagos roads
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English Language
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and work under pressure
• Polite and able to get along with people
• Have a mature attitude
• Must be able to react decisively
• Having a good knowledge of Lagos routes is an added advantage
• Must be ready to undergo training
