InterContinental will open in Lagos come 1st September, 2013 and will be located on Victoria Island, in the centre of Lagos home to the majority of foreign embassies and multinational companies, making it the perfect residence for affluent business and diplomatic travelers. Built on an elevated terrain overlooking Lagos's port and the city below, the 19 storey hotel will offer uninterrupted, spectacular views of Lagos Skyline.

IHG is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Administrative Coordinator

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day to day secretarial/administrative support function to the Resident Manager,
  • Ensure that customer service is at its best, whilst maximizing all revenue opportunities through effective teamwork and development.
  • You will also take minutes at meetings, maintain the manual and computerized record system, assist with preparing staff rota, process invoices, take inventory of stock, maintain records of purchase, sales and assist in event planning and any other duties as directed by the Resident Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
  • A degree or its equivalent is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar post in a 5 stars hotel or Hospitality sector.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong typing and computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and E-mail etc.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels by telephone, writing, face to face etc. in English.
  • Good understanding of the Hotel operations.
  • Pre opening experience a strong plus.
  • Service minded and ability to involve and support operations.
