A Pharmaceutical Firm Job Vacancies (5 Positions)

Our company is an Abuja-based and fast growing pharmaceutical firm with a very strong passion for equal employment opportunity. As result of our strategic focus, we seek to employ high flyers to fill the following vacant positions:

1.) Business Development Managers

Locations: Abuja, South West (Lagos) and South East

Job: This position, which reports to the Chief Operating Officer of the company, entails:

• Frequent and extensive travelling within the job holders location.
• Providing effective and visionary leadership for a fairly large and vibrant sales force.
• Strategizing on how to cost-effectively achieve and surpass agreed performance targets for the assigned sales territory.
• Continuous expansion of the market share of the company via aggressive product promotion and sales canvassing, particularly at the institutional level.
• Intelligence gathering and co-ordination of market and marketing research as a basis for advising top management on how to remain ahead of competitors.

The Person: The ideal person must:

• Hold a minimum of a very sound B.Pharm from a widely recognized university and registered by the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria. Possession of a P60 or an MBA with a strong bias in
• Marketing or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
• Be a high need for achievement (n-ach) individual.
• Have a minimum of 3 years hands-on and post qualification experience either as a senior medical representative or regional manager in a reputable pharmaceutical firm.
• Be between 30-40 years of age.
• Be proficient in the use of Microsoft word. Excel and PowerPoint.
• Not only possess a valid driver’s licence, but must have driven for a long time.
• Be ready to work in any part of Nigeria where their services are needed.

2.) Sales Representatives

Locations: Kano, Kogi, Ekiti, Sokoto, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River, Lagos, Ogun, Bayelsa, Anambra, Oyo, Plateau and Ondo States.

The Job: This position, which reports to the Business Development Manager, entails a lot of travelling and the key duties are summarized as follows:

• Continuously creating and growing demand for all the company’s products-OTC and ethical- through aggressive detailing, presentations, and clinical meetings and effective distribution.
• Efficiently meeting and surpassing agreed sales and all other performance targets.
• Closely monitoring competition with a view to advising management on how to remain competitive in the market.

The Person: The person we are looking for must:

• Possess a minimum of B.Sc. or its equivalent in any of the Life Sciences from a reputable university or institution of higher learning.
• Be able to demonstrate a good geographical knowledge of their preferred location,
• Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Have some experience as a sales representative in a reputable firm in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Have a valid driver’s licence and be able to drive long distances.
• Be a workaholic. .
• Be fluent in the dominant language in their territory.

3.) Stores Keeper:
The job requires somebody with a minimum of OND in any of the business or numeric disciplines, trustworthy and demonstrably experienced in stores management. This position is located in Keffi Town in Nasarawa State.

4.) Locum Pharmacist:
The job-holder is to be based in Keffi Town, Nasarawa State and the ideal person must have, at least, bagged a B.Pharm from a reputable university.

5.) Secretary:
The right person for this position which is located in Abuja must be well schooled in Secretarial Administration or Studies with years of practical experience. Proficiency in internet navigation, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, CorelDraw is must.
