Job Purpose/Scope
To develop and implement the strategic and tactical actions that are required to ensure reimbursement for new products and secure current reimbursement conditions by government.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive relations with relevant ministries and government agencies at all levels of the bureaucratic hierarchy to brief them about the new innovative approaches that GSK is trying to bring with its products.
• Establish and maintain positive relations with the key stakeholders and communities to enable the company to be pro-active to the changing reimbursement environment and to obtain reimbursement approvals within the shortest time possible.
• Liaise with key stakeholders on a monthly basis and when needed in order to monitor changes in the reimbursement system and pharmaco-economic understanding of the government.
• Update the GSK management & related business departments about the changes in the reimbursement system & environment.
• Maintain a database to track pricing and reimbursement information regarding competitive products.
• Supports the set-up of pricing for new products
• Provides internal and external contacts/customers with reimbursement and prescription rules.
• Coordinate &supervise the preparation and submission of reimbursement dossiers and supporting documents to relevant institutions to obtain reimbursement in line with the existing working principles.
• Follows up on the results of applications.
• Liaise with GSK International to create a transition of global pharmaco-economic understanding into the local scale, to be used up to support in new product reimbursement requests.
• Consult with the external leadership to shape the healthcare environment through the activities in key pharma regulatory bodies.
• Support key projects in order to facilitate the business propositions considering reimbursement environment.
• Track and monitor changes in the current reimbursement situation for GSK products and inform relevant business departments before & in case of probable risks & changes.

Qualifications, Experience

• Degree in life sciences. Marketing and/or sales background is a plus
• Understanding of the healthcare system, its relevant processes; experience in/knowledge of pharmaceutical industry being a plus
• 5 years experience in pharmaceutical environment
