The Institution
The University of Lagos was established in 1962 by an Act of Parliament of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It is located in the urban and commercial city of the country and caters for both full and part-time students. The University has an overall student population of over 40,000 (full and part-time at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels).

The Centre is an integral part of the University and the information technology hub for the entire university comprising of the three campuses at Akoka, Idi-Araba and Yaba.

Requirement

• For the vacant post, University seeks candidates with vision, proven academic distinction, managerial ability, cognate professional experience, integrity and transparency in private and public life. The right candidate should also have the ability to develop linkages with external communities to meet the emerging needs of the University.
• The candidate shall possess a good First and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science/Computer engineering/Information Technology as its related. A candidate with a Ph.D degree will be at an advantage. In addition, candidates must have extensive professional experience in Computer Systems Development with at least fifteen (15) years cognate and hands-on experience. (The candidate shall not be more than 60 years at the time of appointment).
• The candidate must be a member of the Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN) and possess considerable experience of project team/group leadership, scholarly research and publications. The position is for a term of five (5) years.
• The candidate’s vision for this leadership position, not more than 1000 words should be submitted along with the application.

This is as contained in the University of Lagos conditions of service governing senior staff. The appointment shall be on CONTISS 15.
