University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Institute of Health Technology Admission for the 2013/2014 Academic Session

University of Benin Teaching Hospital invites applications from the general public for admission into the UBTH Institute of Health Technology, Benin City for the 2013/201 academic session in the following courses:

(I) Public Health Nursing Officers Course (HND)

Duration of course: 2 years.

Entry Qualifications

• WAEC/SSCE/GCE OL with 5 (five) credits including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology.
• Registered Nurses (RN) certificate
• Registered Midwife (RM) or Psychiatric Nurse Certificate plus One year post qualification experience.

(2) Environmental Health Technology Course (HND)

Duration of Course: 4 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess 5 (five) credits in not more than two sitting at the WAEC/NECO/SSCE/GCE/NABTEB O/L which must include( English Language. Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Health science. Copied: www.hotnigerianjobs.com

(3) Dispensing Optics Course

Duration of Course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess at least 4 (four) credits which must include English Language, Mathematics Physics and Biology a WAEC/SSCE/NECO or GCE O/L at not more than 2 sittings.

(4) Plaster Technicians Course

Duration of Course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE O/L or it equivalent with credit in five(5) subjects including English Language Biology, and any other three (3) Science subjects at not more than 2 sittings.

(5) Anaesthetic Technicians Course

Duration of course: 3 years

(6) Audiology Technicians Course:

Duration of Course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCE O/L with (five credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry at not more than 2 sittings.

(7) Emergency Medical Technicians Course (Paramedics)

Duration of course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE O/L with (five) credits including English Language, Biology/Health Science , Physics and Chemistry and any other science subject at not more that 2 sittings.

(8) Biomedical Engineering Technology Course: (ND)

Duration of Course: 2 Years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess SSCE/WAEC/NECO/GCE O/L with credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at not more than 2 sittings. in addition a pass in any of the following subjects will be an advantage. Wood work, Metal work, Auto-mechanics, Basic Electricity, Technical Drawing, Economics and Fine Art.
• Five passes at credits level in relevant subjects as stated in (a) above obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized preliminary ND Programme offered in a Polytechnic or similar post-secondary technical institution provided that student admitted into the Pre-ND have a pass in English Language.

(9) Medical image Processing Technicians Course (Darkroom Technicians)

Duration of course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess SSCE/WASC/NECO/GCE O/L with 5 (five) credits Including English Language, Mathematics, Biology Physics and Chemistry at not more than 2 sittings

(10) Dental Surgery Technicians (DST) Course

Duration of Course: 3 years

Entry Qualifications

• Applicants should possess WASC/GCE OL /SSCE/NECO/ GCE O/L or NABTEB with at least 5 (five) credits in English Language, Biology/Health Science, Mathematics, Chemistry and one other science subject obtained in not more than two (2) sittings.

Submission of Application Form
Completed application form should be submitted to the Institute on or before
Friday, 5th of July 2013 while entrance examination to the various Courses will hold on Saturday, 13th July 2013 at 10.00 am at the Institute Complex, UBTH, Benin City.
