GE is recruiting to fill the below position of:

Job Title: Workshop Supervisor

Location: Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Role Summary/Purpose:
The Workshop Supervisor will have primary responsibility for Shop-Floor Employee Leadership including hands-on support in repair of customer hardware.This role is within the Repair Services Segment of the GE Power & Water - PGS Business. The Service Centre is situated in Port Harcourt.

Essential Responsibilities:

Utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others
Support the drive to attain goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance
Provide support in asset utilization, process / manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality, delivery and cost reduction
Provide on-going support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of hardware to meet customer requirements
Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
Participate in hands-on repair and maintenance of Customer hardware
Implement procedures for personnel to operate and maintain the facility in a safe and effective manner
Execute daily production plans
Ensure all tasks are carried out with adherence to relevant Work Instructions and EHS requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

Electrical or Mechanical background, preferably HNC/HND.
Previous Workshop Supervisory experience required.
A good communicator who is willing to work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and HSE focused

Previous training and / or experience in Flow Testing
NDT Level II Certification
