We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Software Engineer, Backend

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full time

About the Role

Paystack engineers work on designing, developing and maintaining the systems that power businesses by enabling them to accept payments online.
As a junior engineer, you will be researching, suggesting, designing and developing software solutions to payment problems and making improvements to Paystack products

What You'll be Doing
You will:

Design, develop and maintain Paystack APIs, systems and services
Debug production issues across all products
Participate in code, design and production-readiness reviews
Propose novel solutions to complex and interesting payments problems

What it takes to Succeed at this Role
You:

Know core CS principles (algorithms, data structures, software design) through a Bachelor's/Master's degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience
Know object-oriented programming principles and have experience in Node.js
Have experience with Unix/Linux or Windows and distributed systems
Have experience working on projects and in teams (either on personal projects, or in school or at work)
Are willing to hack and figure out how things work
Have a strong work ethic.
