We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Lagos

About the Role

At Paystack, we build systems that power businesses by enabling them to accept payments online.
We are looking for a Product Manager to work with the engineering team in building and maintaining innovative product solutions for our users while nurturing the collaboration among the engineering, design, customer success, sales and business teams.

What You'll be Doing
You will:

Maintain deep knowledge of user requirements, competitive landscape and market needs
Implement processes and tools to track and communicate product progress and user requests
Implement processes and procedures to ensure that products and systems stay healthy
Identify system and architecture issues and drive their resolution
Prioritize tasks based on knowledge of the systems and potential user benefits
Own the lifecycle of products from inception to production release - oversee all stages of development and make sure that blocking issues are escalated and resolved
Stay abreast of the status of all features and bugs and ensure that stakeholders are kept informed

What it takes to Succeed at this Role
You:

Are passionate about continuous product development and product health
Are a clear and empathetic communicator
Are willing to help the team in any way necessary e.g. writing code, QA, debugging
Take an evidence-based and data-driven approach to making decisions
Can distill high level product requirements into manageable tasks and action items
Can design software and make technical decisions (preferred)

Your Experience

Worked with cross-functional teams to build great products
2+ years of experience in product development and product management
Have previously worked at fast-growing internet startups (preferred)
Have experience working with payments systems in Africa (preferred)
