Job Position: Microbiologist - Oral Care

Location: Nigeria-Lagos State-Lagos-Oregun - Oral Care

Job Purpose

• To provide information on microbial status on raw and packaging materials & finished products and equipment/hygiene (cleaning and disinfection)

Responsibilities

• Microbial Analysis of raw materials, and finished products and ensure they are not contaminated
• Monitoring of disinfection and sanitization of plant and equipment in the factory.
• Prepares Culturing media for analysis
• Prepare the diluents for dissolving the product samples.
• Collect water samples at different locations daily for culturing.
• Collect batch samples for all products made for microbiology analysis.
• Collect on-line product samples for all SKU produced for microbiology analysis daily.
• Analyze daily all the samples collected and report any out of specification results.
• Document all analysis done
• Check daily for microbial growth on line rejects.
• Analyze all necessary in-bound raw materials.
• Monitoring of disinfection and sanitization of plant and equipment in the factory.
• Weekly check of air microbial load in the production halls and environment
• Take Food handlers swabs weekly for culturing.
• Take readings from the hygrometer weekly and document.
• Monitor all return from trade activities and analyze the products when required.
• Report any non conformance on the shop floor
• Carry out Hygiene audits for the site in terms of  Canteen,  Factory, Cloak rooms, publishing findings and drawing up action plans for closure of actions.
• Monitor CCPs and ensure conformity to specification.
• Carrying our 3P Audits

Other Duties :

• Do finished products line inspection for assigned lines
• Take minutes and circulate action plans for daily Quality meeting while on duty.
• Ensure that all jobs are done safely, not having negative impact on the environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of OND SLT or Food tech science with Microbiology exposure/ training.
• I year Experience in a Manufacturing environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Quality and microbiology training.
