Job Description:
To ensure that the correct selection of tools & equipment & FPE/PPE are being maintained, recorded on a regular basis and used in the appropriate manner.
To demonstrate the correct use of steel tube & fitting scaffolding or system/modular scaffolding to main contractor personnel where the necessity for training or further training is required as per BS12811-1 standards and COMPANY Work Management
To monitor, enforce and record the regular maintenance plan of COMPANY NPO access scaffolding equipment by the contractor (clips, boards, identification).
To attend mandatory contractor tool box talk meetings on a daily basis to monitor the accuracy of the subject matter and to offer technical input and advice where applicable.
To attend daily progress meeting and offer assistance with the coordination of personnel, materials and provide technical advice where appropriate.
To attend all pre-task meetings and ascertain contractor personnel roles and responsibilities prior to work commencement.
To monitor the safe erection, modification and dismantling of all access scaffolding in alignment with EMDC WAH (Working at Height) Expectations, COMPANY Safety Manual (Rev.2), COMPANY Work Management Procedures (Rev.4), COMPANY Rescue from Height Plan, OIMS policies and current industry SG4:08 (Scaffolding) working at height regulations.
To perform regular checks that safety equipment such as Rescue from height packs, FBH and SRL's are being used correctly and maintained and periodically recorded within the required manufacturer's guidelines.
To routinely monitor work performance and record all project scaffolding access activities using provided electronic or hard copy format and to submit to the COMPANY Construction Supervisor on a daily basis.
To report any incident or breach of COMPANY safety regulation directly to the COMPANY Construction Supervisor (CS) and or, Lead Construction Supervisor (LCS), where applicable.
To review e-PTW and JSA for contractor personnel prior to commencement of work activities and to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with COMPANY policy guidelines.
To inspect, certify and record via F91, all project and platform based access scaffolding when required. To periodically inspect all access scaffolding every seven days or after modification, severe weather conditions or impact as required by current COMPANY and scaffolding industry regulations.
To perform site surveys for scaffolding requirements and access solutions when requested by the COMPANY CS or LCS and to estimate and advice material requirements on behalf of the contractor.
To arrange Surfer crew boats for the contractors scaffolding personnel to travel to remote worksite platforms and have the vessel standing by for potential man overboard situations, as and when required.
To ensure that he and the contractors personnel comply with strict protocol.
Requirements
Western EXPAT preferred
Technical degree HND, OND in mechanical or civil engineering

Material Selection, Inspection and care of scaffolding components, prepare work, scaffolding job planning, hazard control, fall protection, safe working system and PTW procedures, scaffolding estimation, sketches and drawing standard erection/dismantling modification principles and method of BS-5973 and KS method.
