Job Title: UFR Anchors & Subsea Structures Lead

Responsibities
The Anchors and Subsea Structures Lead will be eventually responsible for the delivery of the Anchors and Subsea Structures, in accordance with Contract requirements, in particular technical requirements and schedule, ensuring all aspects of the EPCI works are accounted for in due time
Managing the Anchors and Subsea Structures Detailed Engineering / Qualification / Procurement activities performed by UFR Contractor. Anchor Suction Piles for FPSO and OLT buoy moorings will be managed as a standalone System, while the other Subsea Structures activities will be reported to the respective Riser System Lead, Flowline and Gas Export line System Lead and Umbilical System Lead.
Following up Manufacturing, Fabrication, Installation and Pre-commissioning activities performed by UFR Contractor and managed by UFR inspection, construction and installation teams
To this objective, the Anchors and Subsea Structures Lead will be in charge of:
Reviewing of all relevant Engineering / Qualification / Procurement documentation, ensuring the adequate level of priority is given
Ensuring that Engineering / Qualification / Procurement activities are performed in line with Contract requirement and Project Specifications, all within project schedule
Ensuring that Engineering / Qualification / Procurement activities are performed in line with CLENTS'S General Specifications and issue proper derogations, if required
Ensuring that engineering activities are progressed to a sufficient level before the start of Qualification, Procurement, Manufacturing and Fabrication activities
Ensuring that design and qualification outcomes/ constraints are adequately considered in due time for Procurement, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Installation and Pre-commissioning, and vice/ versa
Ensuring that for the Manufacturing and Fabrication of critical items, ITPs are reviewed in due time by the relevant parties and are given the right level of attention
Assisting Manufacturing, Fabrication, Installation and Pre-commissioning activities and leading the resolution of technical issues when necessary
Assisting in interface management with FPSO, OLT & SPS contractor
Answering UFR Contractor technical queries as necessary
Providing inputs to contract correspondence, as necessary
Issuing reports and presentations as necessary
To Ensuring that HSE requirements are taken into consideration during design
To ensure that all safety and environmental required studies will be reviewed/updated and that final design will comply with ALARP policy.
Participating in various technical reviews (Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments…) and ensuring implementation of recommendations as necessary
To ensure that design will comply with all HSE requirements and that Safety and Environment dossiers will be provided to National Authorities in due time.
To fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions.
To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement.
To also take care of colleagues safety and behavior without hesitating to intervene as much as necessary.
To give his own input and making sure the workplace is safe (obviously clean and tidy).

To fully comply with Security rules about Travelling in Nigeria.
Requirements
Graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline MANDATORY (copy of diploma to be provided) with MSc or equivalent, specialized in Structural Steel Construction/ Civil Engineering. Pending experience candidates with BSc may be also given consideration
7 years experience in Design of Subsea / Deepwater Steel Structures (pending profile, candidates with less experience and previous exposure to UFR EPCI projects will be also given due considerations). Relevant experience will include development of detail design specifications, performance and / or validation of detail design calculations for Pipelines, follow-up of fabrication and installation activities
Good knowledge of international structural design codes / standards and CLIENT'S general specifications
Good sense of organization, ability to prioritize activities, to identify critical aspects, to propose way forwards, to lead specialists or third parties, to summarize and present complex design issues including transverse and interfaces matters
Some basic knowledge in hydrodynamics will be also valuable
Some basic knowledge in material, corrosion, coatings will be also valuable
Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
