Job Description
Assisting the Business Line Manager in developing and implementing marketing plans to ensure the desired RDT business growth. Products covered include top hammer, DTH, Rotary products and Pneumatic rock drills and tools.
Territory Management including mapping of customers and assisting in developing sales strategy for each segment and product
He will report to the Business Line Manager, MR
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this office shall include but is not limited to the following:
Aggressively exploit the territory to identify new target customers and new sales opportunities both present and future.
Perform SWOT analysis for the territory market, collect information about competition, potential market volume, current market share and customers’ feedback.
Aggressively pursue sales leads, undertake and issue quotes, technical and commercial proposals, including the calculation of sales prices while all the time acting with utmost professionalism , maintaining ethical behaviour and adhering to the Business Code of Practice.
Participate in the preparation and submission of major tender documents paying particular attention to quality of the submissions and timely presentation of the same.
Maintain close cooperation with product companies to avail the best customer products and solutions to the market thereby ensuring the organisation is First in Mind.
Liaise with internal colleagues in Supply & logistics and Finance to coordinate activities in executing sales order. Be a full participant in the complete sales to delivery process.
Have ability to build robust relationships with customers and be able to handle multi accounts across a range of customer segments in a large geographical area.
Maintain good relationships and regular continuous contact and communication with customers, especially key accounts, for profitable growth and added market and customer shares.
Be ready, willing and able to play the role of a key account manager for specific customers to ensure total customer satisfaction for the complete company product range existing at customer sites.
Follow up with supply & logistics departments, locally and at product company level to ensure prompt delivery of customer orders, paying attention to delivery commitments,
Plan and execute own activities in line with Business Line activity plan, report back activities and findings.
Define and be responsible for sales forecasts for specific market segments, products and customers.
Prepare periodic reports on sales and marketing activities as required by management and any other reports that may be necessary.
Continuously monitor competitor activities through market intelligence; Carry out market application and competitor analysis.
Assist in planning and organizing sales activities, such as demo, seminars, solution presentation, product performance benchmarking etc.
Cooperate with Finance department to improve the performance of receivables & over dues.
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications and Skills
University Degree in an Engineering discipline, or Geology.
Minimum 2 years' sales experience in an industrial / technical / equipment / machinery related industry.
Know how and exposure to the construction and mining environments.
Experience in customer service an added advantage.
Solid commercial and business oriented skills.
Computer knowledge, including in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with an ERP system.
Interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills - Oral & Written.
Good organisational and planning skills.
Result-oriented.
Rigorous and in a continuous personal & professional improvement process.
