Job Title: Plant Accountant

Location: Epe, Lagos

Job Description

• Assist the head of finance and admin in all areas of accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, balance sheet account reconciliations, and month-end closing;
• Complete and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports and project assignments as needed;
• Complete all monthly, quarterly and annual accounting entries required to close the books and to complete the individual plant cost books;
• Ensure accuracy of detail, organization, and timeliness of completion, in all areas of responsibility;
• Communicate clearly and promptly with plant and corporate office to ensure control & compliance with company policies and procedures;
• Assume personal responsibility to learn and grow fast within the ranks of the company
• Maintain the schedule for and performing all physical inventory reconciliations.
• Hands on approach to all plant inventories to include physical inventories, cycle counting, accurate valuation and improvement of all related processes. Must be plant’s leading expert in all inventory procedures and systems.
• Take on responsibility for all tasks assigned in the areas of monthly close, AP, AR and balance sheet reconciliations.

Job Requirements

• Applicants should have a Minimum of B.Sc/HND in Accounting with at least two years’ experience in similar Role.
• Knowledge of SAGE line 50, SAGE Evolution or SAGE 300 ERP.
