Job Description

• Provide guidance, assistance and advice on community and labor relations activities to NPO and contractors.
• Build awareness regarding community Relations expectations.
• Review of Contractor's Community Relations plans
• Communicate Upstream Public Affairs community Relations guidelines and procedures to Project team and contractors
• Participate in NPO Project pre-mobilization and mobilization meetings, ensuring that right procedures are followed.
• Communicate community Assistance programs (CAPs) to contractors/sub contractors and Project team
• Assist contractors and sub contractors identify site specific contract positions
• Community Relations Orientations for NPO new hires

Required Skills/Experience:

• Develop community relations expectations from contractors and project team and communicate same to them.
• Follow up expectations through further communication, forum, emails, meetings etc
• Work with Public Affairs in the development of contents of community relations plans.
• Review of NPO's contractor's community relations plans.
• Ensure proper community relations procedures are documented.
• Ensure that NPO contractors comply with the approved community Relations plans
• Communicate gaps to contractor for gaps closure.
• Monitor compliance of the CR plans.
• Communicate CR guidelines and procedures to project team and contractors
• Identify gaps and ensure gaps are bridged.
• Communicate project mobilization procedures to contractors and sub contractors
• Participate in project mobilization meetings, giving guidance and advice on community relations issues.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• Work with Public Affairs to develop list of community prioritized projects for CAP and ensure contractors have list for CAPs project selection.
• Work with Public Affairs to develop strategies for CAPs implementation.
• Encourage community contact persons to develop a job bank where names and CV's of qualified personnel in different fields are stored based on, ON-THE-JOB experience.
• Ensure contractors comply with the guidelines in employment and other labor related issues.
• Ensure that contractors select qualified people to work from the communities’
• Ensure contractors know the right community contact persons

Required Qualifications:

• First degree level education.
• 8-10 years in Community Relations-related positions.
• Ability to work in harsh environments, and stressful situations, with ever changing priorities
