Job Description

• Collate and analyse data from project locations on various KPIs and safety initiatives for weekly and monthly reporting to Project and Functional management.
• Prepare Project Safety statistics for safety meetings and update the SHE information boards regularly.
• Develop and maintain spread sheet for Project incidents and observations (U-see U-act, inspections etc.).
• Documentation and update of actions status from Audits, Hazard Hunts, LPOs, incidents investigation, Safety Inspections, Management Walkthroughs, Emergency Drills and Meetings.
• Develop trends from Project safety data.
• Participate in the organization of safety trainings, workshops and meetings and documentation of minutes of meetings
• Maintain Site Safety Advisors Rotation, Time-off and Leave Schedule
• Participate in Ergonomics Assessment and Maintain Ergonomics Assessment Database
• Provide Project Safety Induction for New Arrivals and Maintain Induction Records
• Administer and maintain the SHE Common Folder in the I-Drive
• Maintain both Electronic and Hard Copies of Safety documents and reports (Audits, Hazard Hunts, LPOs, incident investigation, Safety Inspections, Management Walkthroughs, Emergency Drills and Meetings) in a proper filing system
• Maintenance of SHE Trainings Records and Database
• Ensure contractors' SHE standards are aligned to NPO/Project procedures and provide support for improvement.
• Analyse Department safety statistics in order to evaluate, detect and respond to trends and patterns.
• Development and Management of SHE Software – Databases and Web Applications
• Steward the Implementation, Audit and Improvement of the Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS – ExxonMobil SSHE Management System) in Nigerian Projects Organization (NPO)
• Share learning between projects, sites and EM affiliates.
• Develop SHE expectations for projects management teams
• Carry out regular visits to project sites for verification of safety plan.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 4-8 years in Construction Safety-related positions (Prefer previous experience with ESSO, Exxon,
• Certified for scaffolding inspection.
• Thorough knowledge of Safety standards, codes and practices
• Ability to function in an integrated project team environment
• Practical Safety judgment
• Ability to work in harsh environments, in stressful situations, with ever changing priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
• Read, write, and speak fluent English, as required to function effectively within a project team
• Demonstrated ability to develop successful working relationships with emphasis on interfacing and mentoring in a team environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field is preferred + NEBOSH IGC or CSP.
