The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is the independent regulatory agency mandated by Government to monitor and regulate the electricity industry in Nigeria. The Commission is committed to promoting and ensuring efficient market structures and an investor-friendly industry to meet Nigeria's need for safe, adequate, reliable and affordable electricity.

To drive the achievement this mandate, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified professionals for vacant positions in the Office of the Chairman and its 6 specialized Divisions.

NERC is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Analyst I, Project Management

Location: Any City, Nigeria

Job Description

• The Analyst, Project Management will assist the Project Management unit in keeping up-to-date records and monitoring the Commission's projects.
• The job holder reports to the Head of the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Keeps up to date with the work plan of all Divisions/Units of the Commission including and not restricted to quarterly reports.
• Maintains a database of the Commission's quarterly scorecard on projects and activities.
• Assists in coordinating and track changes to 5 year strategic plan.
• Identifies and reports project risks.
• Ensures reasonable Cost Estimation of Projects.
• Keeps track of projects costs to ensure budgetary compliance.
• Conducts project cost Analysis for the various projects.
• Assists in Developing policy initiatives, analysis and strategic planning for attaining the goals and objectives of the Commission.

Qualifications and Skills

• A first degree in Management / Social sciences.
• A post graduate degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
• Certifications in a Project Management discipline, would be of added value.
• A least 4 years experience, with at least 3 years of them in project management M.
• Must have "hands-on" project management experience, involving project management tools such as the Microsoft Project s Application.
• Personable and capable of fostering a professional and disciplined work.
• Extremely results oriented.
• Excellent personal management and organisation abilities.
• Proven capacity to effectively multi-task.
• Detail conscious.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong communication and documentation capabilities.
• Versatility in Project management software such as Microsoft Project software/ others.
• Proficient in the use of the computer, especially Microsoft Office suite.
