Academic and Non Academic Staff Vacancies at a British International Early Years and Primary School - 16 Positions

A new British Nigerian international early years and primary school situated in a serene and secured environment in Wuse 2 Abuja. The school caters for children from four to eleven years.

Ahead of the forth coming 2013/2014 academic session, we are recruiting to fill the following positions:

1.) Administrator

Requirements

Qualifications in administration as well as managerial skills.
At least five years managerial experience in an international school
Innovative and tolerant.
Computer literate
A team player
Good command of the English language - spoken and written
Committed and dedicated to duty
Capable of working long hours.

2.) Headmistress/Headmaster

Requirements

Advanced qualifications in education - (qualifications in Educational Admin and Planning preferred).
At least eight years experience in an international school with at least 3 of those in a teaching capacity. Team player
Good command of the English language - spoken and written
Committed and dedicated to duty.
Capable of working long hours
Innovative
Able to work under pressure.
Good understanding of the application of the British curriculum for early years and or primary, Montessori and Nigeria curriculum

3.) Secretary

Requirements

Strong organizational skills
Qualification in secretarial administration or any other relevant qualification
At least three years experience in same position
Good command of the English language - spoken and written
Computer literate, committed and dedicated to duty
Capable of working long hours

4.) Mathematics Teacher

Requirements

At least three years experience in a school of similar standard must have knowledge of mathematics theory.
Must be innovative, tolerant and patient
Able to teach children from 4 - 11 years
Able to simplify mathematics theory and approach, a good team player, good command of English - spoken and written, commitment and dedication to duty and love for children.

5.) Librarian

Requirements

You must have a qualification in library studies,
2-3 years experience as a library keeper and strong organizational skills
Able to coordinate staff.
Team player, Hardworking and dedicated to work.
Willing to work long hours.
Love of children.

6.) Nursery school Teachers

Requirements

Qualifications in Education (Preference in B.Ed with specialization in Nursery educational but consideration will be given to B.A (English) and BSc (Ed) and at least three years experience in a nursery school of similar standard.
Should be innovative, tolerant and patient.
Good command of the English language -spoken and written.
Good understanding of the application of the British curriculum for early years.
Committed and dedicated to duty and love for children

7.) Primary School teachers

Requirements

Qualifications in Education (Preference in B.Ed with specialization in one or more of the following subjects:
English, Maths, Sciences and Art
At least three years experience in a primary school of similar standard
lnnovative, tolerant and patient
A team player.
Good command of the English language — spoken and written.
Good understanding of the application of the British and Nigerian curriculum for primary school.
Committed and dedicated to duty and Love for children. (Knowledge of the SAT and Common Entrance exams is an added advantage).

8.) Teaching assistants

Requirements

N.C.E holder.
At least two years working experience.
Good command of the English language - spoken and written
Willingness to learn and develop
Hardworking and dedicated to duty and love for children.

9.) Music teacher

Requirements

At least three years experience in a school of similar standard, must have knowledge of Musical Theory
Innovative, tolerant and patient.
Able to teach children from 2 to 13 years old.
Able to teach specific instruments like piano, recorder, guitar etc. a team player.
Good command of the English language - spoken and written.
Committed and dedication to duty and love for children.

10.) Teachers (Linguistics)

Mandarin-Chinese
Spanish
French
lgbo
Hausa
Yoruba

Requirements

At least three years experience in a school of similar standard, Innovative, tolerant and patient
Able to teach children from 2 to 11 years old
A team player
Good command of the English language - spoken and written and the specialized language.
Committed and dedication to duty and love of children.
