We are recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: National Packaging Consultant
Location: Ilesa/Onitsha
Responsibilities
- To provide packaging technical and operational consultancy support to 3 breweries and 1 water plant and to assist them in improving overall Packaging performance.
- Lead the development and application of key functional strategies in the areas of packaging plant and technology development.
- Provide a technical custodian role within the SABMiller Africa & Asia business
- Conduct and Co-ordinate integrated audits
- Support Brewery Skill Development Programme
- Provide complex problem solving support to Breweries, as and when required
- Provide support for New Product Development Projects
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 7 years Packaging experience in a brewery or manufacturing plant at senior levels
- Demonstrated and proven technical understanding
- and knowledge of packaging plant processes, systems and standards used in
- Beverage packaging including asset care, line design concepts and capital projects.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Knowledge of international packaging plant and technology suppliers and their products.
- Understanding of benchmarking, Best Operating Practices, World Class Manufacturing principles
- Good problem solving skills
