Immigration Exam in Pictures - Photos

Posted on Mon 17th Mar, 2014 - hotnigerianjobs.com --- (43 comments)

The sad stories emanating from different centres across the country where the Nigeria Immigration Service tests were scheduled to hold call for grave concern. Expectedly, their narration vividly paints a picture of complete failure owing to lack of proper planning and coordination.

IMMIGRATION EXAM IN PICTURES - PHOTOS

To start with, reports from the Abuja National Stadium, venue for Abuja candidates are heart-troubling. The vehicular and human traffic was crazy. The entire airport road leading to the city centre was completely blocked. FRSC officials deployed to manage the situation were helpless. They just couldn’t control the increasing crowd.
The crowd was massive. The sea of heads captured by the camera lenses of some applicants is frightening. The Abuja National Stadium with a 60,000 seating capacity couldn’t contain applicants as they stretched beyond Games Village extending to Area 1 and the popular Wonderland Amusement Park area. Expectedly, the mad rush by some applicants to gain entry into the main bowl of the stadium resulted in what many described as partial stampede. Unfortunately, a total of seven precious lives were lost in Abuja alone, while applicants totaling 38 sustained varying degree of injuries. We learnt both the dead and injured were taken to the National hospital. It was a terrible situation in Abuja. This narration by a veteran labour reporter and journalist, Mrs. Juliana Taiwo Obalonye says it all. “It’s incredible what I just witnessed at the Stadium Abuja. All the area from Berger, Area 1, Games Village, Lugbe! All blocked and people have resorted to either driving one way or coming down or trekking for those without cars! Reason? Immigration Exams taking place at the national stadium!

“It is scary because I actually thought it was a church programme! But these are jobless Nigerians - pregnant women, youths, middle age Nigerians! There is crisis in this country! I'm told same thing is happening nationwide. How many is the immigration going to employ among all these people? What sought of thing is this? Again no proper traffic planning. There is chaos right here, complete indiscipline and break down of law and order.

Below are some of the pictures taken during the NIS Exam centers in various centers.

Nawa for this unemployment.

O Lord Arise & save ur pple. Niga youth & graduates should know by now that those for these jobs are @ home while those struggling have little or no chance of getting d job. With my B.SC (uniben 2006) second class, N.C.E (colben 2003)credit. i have not & will never apply for trial & error job till God will send my helper. i rather remain in my petty agro-biz. Ur life is precious than killing urself for nonsense white c$#%^ job.

Dt pregnant women, nursing mothers, daddy-turn-baby-sitter,were at NiS exam venue(s)is given and stale news. Do not blame them. Unemployment is capable of making one do things they wud not imagine in d face of better situation. These above photos rightly depict d true state of unemployment in Nigeria. Fed Govt must not only wake up, it must show N be seen to be creating jobs. Figures N statistics of job created is "long mathematics." When our next door neighbours start getting jobs, we wud nid no statistics to knw dt unemployment is reducing N dt "Govt is on top d situation" as we hear on TV.

It's so unfortunate. I was there but I had to leave immediately after seeing the massive crowd to avoid being stamped upon. It was frightening. My heart goes out to the families who lost their members. The only thing left to do now is to pray for Nigeria.

We can't blame the government forever, White collar jobs are good but with education you can do much more, education is empowerment to go on and be all you can be.DON'T SETTLE FOR LESS,God bless.

It is terrible. Fellow youth I want to urge u to properly apply the knowledge u acquired in school and pray to God for wisdom and get ready to work and don't be lazy, you will be surprise that u have more ability to make wealth than u think. Just assume that neither government nor their job does exist, then u will be more focused on ur abilities and u will see ur capabilities.

It is really sad. However, on the other flip side is that it is a wake up call for all stakeholders. Ex 14:15' And the Lord said unto Moses, wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward; 16: But lift up thy rid, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the mist of the sea'.

Sincerely speaking, this exercise is supposed 2 be questioned and and answers need 2 be provided. This is just to show th e unserious and dubious attitude of our so called leader for m many years and how will u apply for a job in your rwn country and b ask 2 pay a sum of money to register. This is ridiculous. The government of this country has failed us.

God help Nigeria, high level of suffering amidst plenty. The wiseman Solomon said he has seen a different thing under the sun, the battle is not for the swift, a poor son of a wealthy father, suffering citizens of a blessed country. It's not new afterall. The poor and helpless will not seize in the land but not in this magnitude. FG pls think about creating opportunities less revolution occurs, don't thing we'll fold arms till eternity. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

Kai, in a country supposedly acclaimed to be flowing with milk and honey. Nigeria! Please can somebody tell me if this ever happened under the military. I DON'T THINK SO. We all deceive ourselves with democracy and these pictures are true representation of the fact that Nigerians are enjoying the dividends of democracy. Not up to half of this population staged a revolution in Egypt. TO SAY THE TRUTH, NIGERIA IS A BIG FAILURE UNDER THIS GOVERNMENT. WE NEED MILITARY TYRANT THAT WILL PULL NIGERIA OUT OF INTERNATIONAL BUNDAGE CALLED UNITED NATIONS, SO WE CAN CLEAR THE LOG OF BAD AND CORRUPT LEADERS (ALL OF THEM, POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS, SOCIAL LEADERS). THEY MUST ALL GO BEFORE THIS NATION SEES PEACE. MARK MY WORDS

This is terrible but the truth is that we are not ready to fight for our right in this nation. God's given wisdom should have made millions of this country citizen to know that we need to come togther through prayer, and revolution to subdue those that are destroying this generation and the generation yet unborn. Are you ready?

what do we expect where Nigerians can not stand up and say no to evil. what prevented Nigerian to move out of the street to protest against the wicked act from nis, same applies to the current fuel problem where in most part of the country fuel sells for 140 and people are buying and not complaining. mind you more problems are on the way. until we learn how to say no to certain issues that effect negatively to our lives our leaders will continue to use our brain to achieve there selfish means we must learn to tell ourselves the truth at all times. look at what is happening in Ukraine, the masses said no and it stands. why cant the masses say no that they will not pay to gov to get employment, this is simple extortion 419. where will unemployed get money to purchase form and bank charges, and pay for the services of cyber café. the federal gov should investigate nis, min. of interior and the banks that are concerned. if possible the minister and controller gen. should be sacked
