Obafemi Awolowo University for Admission into Full Time Postgraduate Programmes for 2013/2014 Academic Session

Obafem Awolowo University recently won a multimillion dollar grant from the World Bank for the development of the OAU Knowledge Park, The Park is expected to foster a centre of excellence in the convergence of technological advances in the various disciplines identified as innovation vortices at OAU especially, in ICT, food and beverages processing, pharmaceutical and agriculture. The centre aims at creating a regionally recognized and acknowledged model for harnessing science, Engineering, technology innovation and entire body of knowledge for academically and professionally qualified candidates in Nigeria and West Africa.

Qualified University teaching and research staff from Africa and West African sub-region in particular are encouraged to apply for the programmes below:

M.Sc And Ph.D PROGRAMMES
The objectives of the programme is to develop the next generation of scientists researchers and entrerpreneurs through appropriate capacity building measures; and to stimulate creativity and excellence in research and innovation and expand learning opportunities for candidates, staff and other researchers from the region

Adimssion Requirement
Master Degree Programmes

• An applicant shall normally possess not lower than Second Class (Lower Division) Honours Degree of the Obafemi Awolowo University or any other approved University.

Doctor of Philosophy Programmes

• An applicant for admission to the Ph.D. Degree programme shall be a graduate of the Obalerni Awolowo University or any other approved University who possesses a Master Degree with research thesis and a weighted coursework average which shall normally be not less than 60%

Very Important Notice

• Candidates should please note that in accordance with the University requlations, they most satisfy the 'O' level requirements for matriculation into the first degree programmes at the Obatemi Awolowo University, i.e. five credit passes at not more than two sittings including English and Mathematics (where required), However, for candidates from Africa/west Africa sub-region, the centre may apply some waiver as may be determined through recommendation by the centre to the admission board. • Full -Time Master Degree by Coursework and Research Thesis 4 Semesters
• Full. Time Ph,D. Programmes 6 Semesters

Method of Application
Purchase of application form (N15, 000) shall be through on-line only.
Candidates can conveniently complete the application forms and pay by taking the following steps;

• Step 1: Log on to our admission website: http://apply.oaunetque.com
• Step 2: Create an online account, e-mail will be sent with additional details including system-generated password.
• Step 3: With the e-mail and password combination, applicant should sign in and accurately fill the pages of the application form,
• Step 4: Application processing fee can be paid using either ATM/Nigerien Debit Cards or the OAU Postgraduate online application Scratch Cards (Details will be sent via email).

However, this step is waived for foreign candidates but the application fee by foreign students wilI be paid along with the fees,

• Step 5: Applicants should forward the following relevant documents in support of their applications in a big brown envelope (A4 size) indicating at the back, the enclosed documents, form number and name.
