Loesche Nigeria’s scope of work will include the following activities:
Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
Preventive maintenance and planning
Management of required spare parts
Recruitment, management and training of employees
Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Therefore, LNG is looking to fill following vacancy in Nigeria:
Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Manager (m/f)

Role & Responsibility:
Lead and guide all mechanical maintenance activities at the plant site including safety, costs, environmental aspects and equipment availability
Ensure high standards in the provision of maintenance services in alignment with best maintenance practices
Ensure optimal availability, reliability and maintenance of all equipment for achieving the plant’s production targets
Develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans and strategies in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager
Maintain, update and optimise a maintenance master plan and schedule in cooperation with the Maintenance Manager
Plan and coordinate the daily, weekly and annual maintenance shutdowns
Coordinate repairs and replacement of parts
Implement standard operating equipment assessments to detect possible problems
Create the necessary purchasing requisitions for spare parts
Coordinate the necessary materials and services for plant development related to maintenance activities
Coordinate with other departments for smooth functioning of the mechanical maintenance department
In charge of the achievement of key performance indicators in the field of mechanical maintenance, plant availability, equipment reliability, maintenance and inventory costs related to agreed targets for the overall plants’ performance
Prepare and control mechanical maintenance budgets and actual costs
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failure
Monitor and Increase meantime between failures (MBTF)
Coordinate proper lubrication practices are adhered in plant lubrication
Provide the necessary guidance to the Mechanical Supervisors to carry out the maintenance processes timely and efficiently
Safeguard Human resources by adherence to Health & Safety regulations
Manage the utilization of manpower, mobile equipment and contractors
Guide mechanical maintenance staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and providing development through training
Identify specific developmental needs and gaps of the mechanical maintenance staff
Train and develop the mechanical maintenance staff to provide specific plant knowledge
Control and guide the daily work
Ensure a well-organised communication of decisions and current developments
Implement standardized reporting functions, work instructions for optimising the process chains
Carry out annual performance reviews of employees
Continuous reporting to the Maintenance Manager
Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
University degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Mechanical Maintenance Manager
Profound experience in leading and guiding a mechanical maintenance team
Sound knowledge of preventive an predictive maintenance planning and best maintenance practices
Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations
Strategic, organisation and planning skills
Good knowledge in cost controlling
Sound communication skills and outstanding ability to work in a team
Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge
Business-fluent spoken and written English
Further languages skills would be an advantage
Willingness to travel to various locations worldwide for an extended period of time
