Loesche Nigeria’s scope of work will include the following activities:
Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
Preventive maintenance and planning
Management of required spare parts
Recruitment, management and training of employees
Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Therefore, LNG is looking to fill following vacancy in Nigeria:
Job Title: Quality Control Manager (m/f)

Role & Responsibility:
Lead and guide all quality related aspects at the plant site by implementing quality management systems, quality plans and controls to achieve plant’s objectives
Ensure the quality of products and their compliance with the standardized and contractual requirements
In charge of the achievement of key performance indicators in the field of product quality and quality systems related agreed targets for the overall plants’ performance
Define and set quality targets for the production department
Recommend and implement quality control methodologies in cooperation with the production department
Coordinate and carry out product quality tests and recommend measures for its improvement
Provide the necessary guidance to laboratory staff and ensure the continuous improvement of its competency
Identify specific developmental needs and gaps of the assigned staff
Train and develop the assigned staff to provide specific knowledge
Control and guide the daily work and ensure the safety regarding the laboratory activities
Implement standardized reporting functions, work instructions for optimising the process chains
Carry out annual performance reviews of employees
Ensure a well-organised communication of decisions and current developments of technical information and those relating to the quality between various actors
Responsible for the implementation and updating of the quality management system for the continuous improvement of all quality related processes
Ensure the use of necessary data analysis in order to improve the established quality system
Secure the retention of the certification of marketed products and quality systems
Continuous reporting to the Plant Manager
Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
University degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Quality Control Manager
Profound experience in leading and guiding laboratory staff
Sound knowledge of quality management systems, cement chemistry and cement microscopy
Profound knowledge of product analysis methods
Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations
Strategic, organisation and planning skills
Sound communication skills and outstanding ability to work in a team Very good MS-Office and SAP knowledge
Business-fluent spoken and written English
Further languages skills would be an advantage
Willingness to travel to various locations worldwide for an extended period of time
