Loesche Energy Systems Limited is an innovative family-owned machinery and plant engineering company operating worldwide. Loesche Nigeria Ltd. (LNG) was established in 2012 and is based in Lagos.
Loesche Nigeria’s scope of work will include the following activities:
Preparation and supervision of technical repairs, modifications and upgrades
Audit of cement plants and grinding terminals
Operations of grinding terminals and complete cement plants
Preventive maintenance and planning
Management of required spare parts
Recruitment, management and training of employees
Management of operational stability and improvement-process, product quality, performance
Ensuring health & safety and environmental regulations

Therefore, LNG is looking to fill following vacancy in Nigeria:
Job Title: Process Improvement Manager (m/f)

Role & Responsibility:
Primarily responsible for the plant’s performance and product quality by implementing systems, tools and procedures for its process optimisation
Accountable for the operational stability and the continuous improvement of process, product quality and performance
Ensure a successful and energy efficient operation of the customer’s plant
Lead the continuous improvement and optimization of all processes
Recommend measures to reduce energy consumption and to increase production capabilities and product quality
Optimise the plant’s performance and output by conducting process studies and audits
Identify process deficiencies and operational gaps to increase the plant’s output
Regular measurement and monitoring of process parameters
Perform complex field tests on the plant
Prepare short and long range performance development plans
Provide the necessary guidance to the Shift Foremen and Operators to carry out the required production processes
Train and develop the operating staff to provide specific plant knowledge
Control the operating staff to ensure timely production and distribution of products
Implement standardised work flows and guide the daily work
Ensure well-organised communication of decisions and current developments
Carry out special technical analyses
Continuous reporting to the Plant Manager
Comply with all relevant company and statutory environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements:
University degree in process engineering
Several years’ experience in the cement industry as Process Improvement Manager
Sound knowledge of the cement production process including pyro-processing, cement chemistry and cement microscopy
Very good understanding of safety and environmental regulations
Confident manner in dealing with customers and plant staff
Profound knowledge in plant process optimization
Sound communication skills and outstanding ability to work in a team
Very good MS-Office skills
SAP knowledge would be an advantage
Business-fluent spoken and written English
Further languages skills would be an advantage
Willingness to travel to various locations worldwide for an extended period of time
