Job Description

• The position is based in Nigeria
• The project Fabrication Engineer will assist the Project leaders to complete a construction project on time and within the approved budget in compliance with the contract specifications.
• This position requires technical familiarity with fabrication of offshore products and services. In addition, the Project Fabrication Engineer must develop liaisons and generally work with operations, procurement, installation engineering, HSE, and QA/QC departments as well as interface with customers, equipment and product suppliers, and fabrication facilities.
• He will report to Project Manager and Construction Manager
• Supporting role to project leaders.
• Responsible for financial and technical success of an area of a project.
• Assists in the preparation of Project Execution Plan (PEP), Project Scope of Work, weekly progress reports, project procedures, project meeting minutes and subcontract package scopes.
• Monitors/expedites procedures and calculations approval, delivery of materials and equipment (with Procurement Coordinator), daily progress with Production, client free issue material and use of development and Lessons Learned.
• Ensures operations carries out work in accordance with engineering details, procedures and specifications.
• Conduit for cross-functional information and data for integrated project schedule, QC Plan (with QA Coordinator and Inspector) and technical queries within project disciplines and between project/suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean, Naval, Architecture, etc) or Construction Management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Engineering or Construction environment
• Basic knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents and plans.
