Adexen HR and Recruitment Services is looking to recruit a Project Engineer.

Job description
Our client is seeking a professional to follow the day‐to‐day activities on site, making sure the progress is being completed according to approved drawings and approved material.This is to be done in coordination with site supervisors.
This position will use planning, monitoring and controlling processes, to ensure completion of projects on time and according to budget by setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring and communicating project progress.

Overall Skills:

• Plumbing : booster pumps, submersible pumps, sanitary fixtures, floor drains, area drains, drainage piping network, water supply piping network, different type of plumbing valves, swimming pool, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant.
• HVAC : Chillers, pumps, piping network, GI ducting, air handling units, fan coil units, fans, grills diffusers & louvers, variable air volume box, insulation, cladding, volume, smoke & fire dampers, sound attenuators, black steel hood duct, air balancing, water balancing, heating system.
• Fire fighting: FM200, wet sprinkler system, electrical pumps, sprinklers, fire hose cabinets, landing valves, zone control valves, piping network.
• Medical gas: piping network, manifolds, outlets, area control stations, bed head units.

General Tasks:

• Prepare of as built drawings in coordination with draftsmen and engineering department
• Ensure the proper execution as per the approved shop drawings
• Explain the work methodologies to the work and supervising force to ensure that the work is done as per the requirements
• Reporting to Project manager regarding daily progress of work and plan for the next working days
• Informing the Project Manager regarding material status on the site and preparing the requirement for the upcoming period
• Carry out/Supervise all relevant testing before commissioning and handing over
• Developing inspection requests and following up the same with the consultant/contractor.
• Managing the work force.
• Analyze work non‐conformities and provide recommendations and guidance for resolution.
• Ensure all the equipments used in the site are properly maintained and calibrated if required.
• Inspect received material in the site and check delivery note and PO and inform Project Manager
• Ensure that all reporting personnel follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements/Education:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education from a well reputed university.
Masters/MBA preferred.

Work Experience:

• Strong professional background with a minimum of 5years of experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial position in electro‐mechanical construction projects. Experience in Africa preferred.
• Proven administrative, leadership and management ability in the area of project management, business development and/or tendering.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficient in Autocad.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficient in Project Planning tools.
• Must be adept in the use of Internet and E‐mail.
• Fluent in English and French
• Strategy oriented and driven.
