The Ministry of Information in Anambra State Government seeks for qualified and suitable candidates to fill the vacant position of:

Job Title: Editor-In-Chief

Location: Anambra

Requirements

The right candidate for this job must be well grounded in modern newspaper publishing
The candidate, who is also expected to be a good writer, must be able to mobilize the newsroom team to generate scoops and editorial matters that compel readership interest
Our candidate must have good knowledge of advertisement marketing and the need to attract maximum advertisement quota to make the newspaper a viable venure
He/she must understand modern newspaper production and must be able to drastically improve the planning and aesthetical layout of National Light.
The candidate we are looking for must have a very knowledge of newspaper cerculation management and should be able to improve circulation to reflect the newspaper name, "National Light".
The candidate must have a good appreciation of online newspaper business in order to be able to relate with his/her online staff
The candidate must be able to turn around National Light into a competitive and viable newspaper

Qualification

Candidate should not be below 40 years of age
Must have a good University Degree or its equivalent in Mass Communication or any of the Social Sciences
Must have a minimum of 15 years cognate experience in newspaper publishing and must have spent 8 years in a management position
Membership of relevant professional bodies and possession of Masters Degree will be an advantage
