The Police Service Commission (PSC) wishes to thank all those who made the first step of its recruitment process of Cadet Inspectors and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) into the Nigeria Police Force a huge success. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com

The huge number of applicants is no doubt a testimony of the commitment of young Nigerians to make their own contribution to peace and order in the country. We thank Governors, Legislators, Traditional Rulers and Members of the Nigeria Police Force for their support during this exercise.

Nigeria Police Recruitment 2011

In each of the State of the Federation, sixty names have been shortlisted based on the criteria set by the Police Service Commission. These names will be reviewed at the twelve Zones of the Nigeria Police Force across the country based on written and oral examination in the month of September, 2011. The list will be further reviewed at the national level and the final list will be published by the Police Service Commission.

Zonal Screening of Shortlisted Applicants for Cadets ASP and Inspector Has Been Re-Scheduled

Also, the Police Service Commission wishes to inform all Successful Cadet applicants from the various State Commands Screenings, that the Zonal Screening of applicants has been re-scheduled to Start from the 19th – 26th of September 2011, instead of the previous advertised date of 12th – 17th September 2011. The details of days when applicants from the various States would appear at their Zonal Nigeria Police Force Command venues would be announced by the Zonal Commands in their areas. I sincerely don't know why the Nigeria Police Force did not considered the HND result with lower credit, if that is the case why than the Nigeria Police Force or the Commission considered the Bsc second class lower credit, which is not fair for Nigeria government to do so.

I sincerely think the PSC is part of the scourge of corruption troubling this country. The exercise is a deceit and we dont deserve it. If the PSC wants the best for this nation then they would have selected the best for recruitment. Its sad

I wonder d kind of country we're into, man eat man, even man exploit man still they are not contented with dat.MY brothers man don suffer!my father worked as a security man in a company for good twenty years inorder to see me thru my education but even before my university education they had already retired him but as i talk to u guys, it's been tough whch made me to apply 4 dis police job only to hear dat four girls and a boy were selected in my local govt in the EAST and my father has not been fine and no job to help him out and i just pray nothing happens to him as it is my wish to give to him now dat he's alive.Though,it earlier pricked my mind dat it was going to be like this,as there has never been probity and honesty in the nigerian police and it will never be,and if it is the wish of God dat naija will become great it will,bt if not, nothing would stop it from disintegrating, but for bokoharam and other paraphernalia no goin back!

Police reform should start with compulsory retirement of uneducated officers as it was done in prison service. Then upgrading degree/HND holders rank/files and inspectors into officers cadre. select candidates on merit and not based on whom you know

Let chief parry the psc chairman resign because the last cadet ASP/ INSPECTORS selection is based on connection. And psc chairman and his commission conspire with IGP AFIZ RINGIM to deprive degree holders from south of ASCON in june 2011 to rise up in the force. This is one Nigeria but why dichotomy? why divided Nigeria?IGP AFIZ RINGIM should resign now.

please and please, if you really mean reforming the nigeria police force, do not only confine your screening to the paper screening, writen and oral examinations, or physical screening but go to the candidates' localities secretly and get imformation about their moral behavior. make sure only those with good morals are recruited into the force as this will help provide us with a corruption-free force ( please this is very important)

Psc should kindly base the next cadet Asp and inspector on working experience particularly engineers not on acadamical field or grade alone so that the salary paying will be justified . E.g) A mech engine candidate who can identify and detects the fault of a car, A civil engine who can not construct. I guess somebody that is good for transport and mantainace should be mechanic , rewire, panel beater, upholstry spray painter etc in respective of the educational certificates, grade, and field. Because of their exprience that all white mens considered first followed by certificate of compitence.

My first comment is based on cadet specialist . Most of the police van and vehicle are taken out for repairing and mantaining in various workshop. Psc should go for expart, competence and true specialist that will promotes, develops and progress nigeria police.
