Head of Academics/ Training at College of Insurance and Financial Management

The College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) established in 2007 by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) under its Charter and Enabling Law is seeking suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position in the new Institution.

Job Description

• To provide academic and administrative leadership for staff within the Academic/Training Department.
• To develop and maintain a wide range of relevant programmes in insurance and financial management
• To develop the process of teaching and learning in Jine with the College strategic plan
• To facilitate research, consultancy and scholarly activities which would enhance the reputation of the College. Including publication of the College Journal.
• To create and foster relationships with appropriate external agencies to promote the objectives and the vision of the College
• To contribute to the development and implementation of the College policies and practices consistent with the College mission statement.
• To contribute to the development of the international dimension of the College through student admission, curricular review and the development of international links.
• Must be able to deliver the College strategic objectives and be part of the management of the College especially through collaborative opportunities

Qualification/Experience

• Ph.D. (or in view) preferably in Risk Management and Insurance, Social or Management Sciences
• Associateship of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (AIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) (ACII).
• Must have worked in an academic environment for at least five years.
• Must have done scholarly work or research in Insurance and Risk Management.
• Must have in depth knowledge in Insurance and Financial Management.
• Not more than 40 years of age
