Job Title: Specialist Contract Management (Marketing & General Services)
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
Facilitate the tendering and contracting processes for general goods (e.g. office supplies, consumables, diesel, etc) organisation-wide and services in line with Etisalat procurement policies.
Principal Functions
Contracts (various: including formal, short form, and annual contracts) - Drafting, tenders, Evaluation, Negotiation and Execution:
Non-Disclosure Agreements, Sales / Purchasing Agrements, Subcontracts, Consulting Agreements, Licensing Agreements, Master Agreements, review of customer proposed terms and conditions
Technical and Commercial Contracting
Serve as the support resource for internal customers on contractual matters and escalate as appropriate.
Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness.
Maintain records of Performance and Bank Guarantees and Manage their receipt, monitoring and release
Support contract close-out, extension or renewal activities.
Carry out tendering and evaluation process in accordance with Etisalat policies and procedures.
Receive proposals, tenders from relevant vendors
Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.
Keep abreast of global and local best practice with respect to tendering and contract management.
Identify and report potential conflict of interest conditions in the tendering and contracting process.
Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of the Contracts Managers, (IT & Network Contract / Commercial & Outsourcing)
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Contracts Manager, (IT & Network Contract / Commercial & Outsourcing)
Educational Requirements
First degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
Experience,Skills & Competencies
Three (3) - Five (5) years work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role.
A proficient Contracting & Procurement personnel with ability to work efficiently in a multi-cultural /diverse environment.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills in the following commercial, technical and
interpersonal areas:
Application of contracting and procurement processes and tools.
Forms of Contracts and their application.
Supporting interface with internal customers.
Effective communications at all levels of management both internally and externally.
Basic knowledge of contracting phases, including post-award contract management Creative thinker capable of developing innovative solutions and a motivated self-starter with a track record of delivery.
Basic understanding of legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues related to contracting.
Ability to analyze information and come up with insightful recommendations.
