Job Title: Reporting Manager

Location: Lagos

Purpose
To take care of entire reporting and management accounting job.

Principal Accountabilities:
(IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation)

• Responsible for the finalization of monthly statutory accounts and reporting in the Hyperion Financial Management System.
• Responsible for all MIS
• Responsible for monitoring the budget against the actuals on monthly basis and doing all variance analysis.
• Responsible for developing and finalizing Revenue budgets as well as Expense budgets for all activities.
• Preparation of statutory accounts and co-ordination with external auditors and tax authority and personnel
• Reconciliation of all current accounts
• Preparation of Cash flow actuals and forecasts.
• Ensuring full statutory compliances for VAT /PAYE/ WHT etc
• Misc Analytical work
• Comparison of Gate moves against various other documents ensuring full revenues.
• Comparison of costs against the volume to identify issues if any.
• Specific tasks assigned by the Finance Manager from time to time.

Work/Business Contacts and Authority: (IPE Factor: Communication)

• Internal: APMT Management Team through Finance Manager
• External: Auditors, external accountants, tax authorities & regulatory bodies

Reporting and Scope

• The position reports directly to the Finance Manager
• The position scope is domestic.
• Direct Reports – Reconciliation Supervisor
• Indirect Reports – None

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
(IPE Factor: Knowledge)

• Requires a university degree in business or accounting. Qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant, or equivalent is preferable.
• Requires at least three to five years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience preferably in the private sector, and in transportation or related industry.
• Must have a working knowledge of Management Accounting fundamentals and its applications.
• Must be familiar with best practices in the professional field of accounting and financial analysis.
• Must be familiar with finance and banking concepts and the tools for analyzing financial decisions, based on modern financial theory, including such things as discounted cash flow techniques, capital budgeting and valuation; investment decisions, analysis of corporate financial policy, including capital structure, cost of capital, financial markets, and merger and acquisition activities.
• Must be familiar with commercial law, credit agreements, concession and management agreements, and other related legislation, decrees, and legal opinions.
• Must have thorough understanding and working knowledge of accounting specific software. Requires proficiency in various software applications and programs, specifically EXCEL spreadsheets.
• Requires excellent analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.
