A leading and reputable indigenous Non-Governmental Organization implementing a comprehensive family- focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment in partnership with the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria at national, state, local and site levels. In line with the broadened scope and objectives of our work, the need for increased staff capacity around new and enlarged areas of focus have emerged. We therefore requires the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professionals for the vacant position of:

Job Title: Director, Finance & Subcontracts

Location: Abuja

Job Description

• Incumbent will oversee the financial accounting and reporting both for CIHP and its sub recipient partners on various grants regarding quality of accounting information and records, accounting treatment, policies and procedures and internal controls.
• The incumbent supervises Subcontract Accountants, State Finance & Admin Officers & Finance Accountants.
• Under the supervision of the CEO, S/he manages budget and finances of the organization with responsibilities encompassing accounting and financial reporting, cash management, controllership, budgeting and expense tracking functions.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Ability:

• An MBA or advanced degree in business, accounting or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Membership of a globally recognized professional accounting body.
• Minimum 12years’ experience with at least 5 of these years spent in a senior level finance management position in the international development sector.
• Experience managing large U.S. government funded projects (CDC, USAID) and extensive knowledge of USG regulations and procedures.
• Skills in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
• Strong computer spreadsheet and word processing skills.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Tally 9 ERP accounting software packages. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong staff supervisory and management skills/experience.

Requirements

• The positions require candidates that are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, computer applications and Internet/ Emails.
• Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills are essential.
• Significant amount of travel may be involved for the positions.
• Commitment to and understanding of organization’s vision values and principles including rights-based/gender approaches would be expected.
