A leadling insurance company requires the services of competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals for employment into the position below:

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

Reports directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will provide excellent support service in financial control department of the organisation

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and other management reports
Manage the company's funds to yield optimal returns and ensure availability of funds to meet all approved obligation at all times.
Maintenance of investment and bank deposit schedule and records.
Conduct investment analysis and appraisal of investment portfolio.
Provide support on tax management reviews, reports and enquiries and liaise with consultants on company income tax remittance.
Review and ensure accurate weekly reports on Production and Cash Collection generation
General Ledger review and maintenance of general ledger file, review of trial balance trend analysis and exceptions report.
Monitor and ensure remittances of VAT, Withholding tax, PAYE deductions and company income taxes.
Prepare statutory reports and accounts.
Prepare the budget and quarterly forecasts and perform all variance analysis for approval by the financial contoller

Requirements
The successful candidate must be:

Be a qualified accountant or a finalist, who is looking to take the next step in their career
Have a good eye for detail, coupled with a strong academic background. A university degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance related courses is a requirement.
Have a minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible general accounting and finance experience.
Have a working knowledge of Management Accounting fundamentals and its applications.
Be familiar wIth best practices in the professional field of accounting and financial analysis.
Require excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both finance and non-finance individuals.
Be computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles.
Maximum age is 35 years
