Spencer Ogden is working in Partnership with a Major Oil and Gas Exploration and Development Company based in Lagos Nigeria to assist them in bringing on board a new Senior Reservoir Engineer to join the rapidly expanding subsurface team:

Job Descriptions

• The position will focus specifically on a number of newly acquired assets and will play an important role in the growth of the company.
• The successful applicant for the role must have an extensive track history of Reservoir Engineering Success, as well as:

1. The ability to use petroleum engineering principles to solve problems and identify enhancement opportunities
2. Strong background in reservoir engineering and pattern management Practices
3. Good overall practical oilfield operations knowledge
4. Expertise in working with geoscientists, and production and facilities engineers
5. Proficiency in using commonly used reservoir engineering, and EOR software and must have working knowledge of Production Management Software DSS
6. Planning and execution of technical programs in conjunction with drilling/well operations and geoscience teams
7. Experience of input/support to appraisal and new field development planning
8. Monitoring production and injection performance on existing fields to optimise production and maximise recovery
9. The ability to Construct reservoir simulation models to ensure proper management of reservoirs, including the design of well locations and preparing production profiles
10. Ability to Oversee the implementation of approved plans for appraisal and development
11. Ability to Formulate production policies
12. Ability to Construct reservoir surveillance plans, including the design and implementation of well tests, and managing data from surveys
13. Expertise in all areas of reserves reporting
14. Ability to Carry out Quality Assurance, Quality Control and peer assist initiatives
15. Experience working with an operating company in Nigeria, primarily Shell, will be seen as an advantage to any application.
