Role Summary/Purpose
The EHS Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
Region level and actively support and network with the Sub Saharan Africa team members in PGS Field Services.
Ensure all GE initiatives are implemented and executed on the ground (OneGE, Industrial Hygiene etc) for the region
Ensure customer requirements for outages are addressed in Outage Readiness Review and EHS Excellence process
Provide direct support to Service Managers, CPM's and Field Engineers for all aspects of field work
Responsibility for ensuring EHS execution is carried out in accordance with all local legislation.
Prepare cross functional audit schedule (EHS, Operational, affiliates) for field activities
Perform systematic audits of EHS activities in the region
Input and track Gensuite applications (Audit Tracking System, Ops metrics, Power Audits, etc.) for assigned organization
Provide feedback to PGS EHS leader on improvement opportunities and compliance risk in the region
Train or arrange for training of PGS operational team and Craft as required
Liaison with equivalent regional resources of affiliates to drive efficiency and cost out and increase coverage
Participate in internal/external Outage-Pre Planning and Post Outage discussions
Drive injury investigations (in person or remotely) and develop corrective actions
Provide Commercial Operations/Sales teams with technical interpretation and review of new and existing EHS aspects of contracts
Implement regional communication plan
Monitor and develop plans to communicate and improve Net Promoter Score results
Interface with Global Programs to ensure consistence application of programs
Develop, implement, maintain and report integrated EHS metrics
Implement customized outreach program for targeted customers
Lead Six Sigma/Lean projects to reduce risks and simplify processes
Champion Risk Reduction Projects/Efforts in region
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum of an Engineering B.Sc from an accredited university
Minimum 5 years of hands on work experience in a technical or safety field.
Ability and willingness to travel
Previous experience and knowledge working with an operational leadership team from an EHS perspective
Detailed knowledge of EHS requirements and compliance implementation experience
Customer and Quality focus
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to influence others across all levels of the organization
Ability to handle and balance multiple projects and responsibilities
Able to work effectively independently and demonstrate passion and strong leadership skills
Experience working with agencies and customers in multiple jurisdictions
Certified Safety Professional or Equivalent (CIH,OHST,others)
Knowledge of Quality management system
A valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required.
Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria
